Festival of Life Gets a Break Weather-wise

The Dade County Festival of Life filled the Trenton town square on Saturday with music, food booths, merchandise tables and a health fair laid on by the Dade County Public library. Rain Friday cleared in time for the benefit do, which was locally organized to raise money to defray the expenses of Dade double-lung transplant patient Bobby Bradford and his family. At a political debate later that evening, Dade Sheriff Ray Cross said the festival had raised over $10,000 for the Bradfords. Cross's wife, Cindy, was one of the organizers of the event.
