Library News: Come Trick-or-Treating at the Library!

Our Ready-to-Read Class next week will be about Pumpkins. After school, we will have our Family Movie and we will be showing Alice Through the Looking Glass. This will begin at 3:30 p.m.. Popcorn and water will be available.

Remember that we’ll be having Trick or Treat at the library on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 5:30-8 p.m. This will be in Veterans Park outside the library and in the library. Also, there will be a special program for teens beginning at 8:30 p.m. In ESCAPE THE LIBRARY, teens have to solve challenges and discover clues to be able to escape or break out. This event will be limited to about 30 teens, so call (706) 657-7857 to sign up for it.

Applications for the open position at the library will be taken through Wednesday, Oct. 26. Applications are available at the library and online at chrl.org. This position is 19 hours a week, including Saturdays.

We have a Books Are Fun display at the library through Wednesday, Oct. 19. Items ordered will be delivered on Thursday, Oct. 20. In addition to books, there are several other items which would make great gifts: toys, picture frames, adult coloring books, recipe collections, art kits, et cetera.
