Dade Planet readers are hereby reminded that upcoming are a couple of interesting opportunities to participate in democracy.
Most immediately, the Dade County Commission (right) will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. this evening. A citizens committee is on the agenda to speak about the liquor-by-the-drink issue, but anyone may stand up and address the commission at the citizens' participation part of the meeting.
The location is the Dade Administrative Building, right on the Trenton town square next to the Sheriff's Department and jail. The meeting is on the first floor in the big room to your left as you go in.
Next week, that same location will be the site for a visit by Congressman Tom Graves, Dade's voice in the U.S. House of Representatives. Graves will hold office hours there from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, March 7. Mighty changes are afoot in America. Do you want to weigh in? Tell your congressman.
