Suspect Sought in Lookout Mountain Robbery

The Dade County Sheriff's Department needs your help locating a suspect in an Aug. 11 burglary.

The department reports that deputies were called to a burglary in progress on Scenic Highway at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Dispatch advised the officers that the complainant had interrupted the burglary and confronted the suspect, who got into a car, fled through a field and then drove through a fence, causing damage to the property.

Upon the arrival of deputies, the complainant stated that he had observed the individual coming from behind his neighbor's house and had seen a light blue BMW parked in the driveway. He confirmed that, after he confronted the suspect, the unknown male got into his car and fled the scene. It was found shortly after that the back door to the residence had been forced open.

The complainant described the vehicle as a light blue BMW, a four-door passenger car with dark tinted windows, possibly a 700 series. The vehicle has probable front-end damage from striking the fence.

The male suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s with a dark complexion and dark hair.

If you see this man, call the Dade Sheriff's Department at (706) 657-3233.
