Library News: Dade Historical Calendars For Sale. Also, Last Chance on Dade Christmas Ornaments!

The Book Club met this week to choose the books that we will read next year, so look for a complete list in next week’s paper. Our January book has already been chosen. It is Small Great Things, by Jodi Picoult. This novel offers a gripping moral dilemma which will lead readers to question everything they know about privilege, power and race. It was a New York Times bestseller. Our January meeting will be Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. at the library.

The Dade County Historical Society has had more calendars printed and they are available here at the library for $10. They feature historical pictures from around Trenton.

We also still have a few historical ornaments available from the Friends of the Library, $15 for individual ornaments and we have one complete set left of 12 ornaments for $150.

The library will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 26, for the Christmas holiday. The library is always closed on Mondays. We will be on our regular schedule except for Tuesday.

Check out our after-school Math Club for kids in Pre-K through fifth grade. The Pre-K-second-grade class is at 3 p.m. and the third-fifth class is at 4 p.m. Call the library at (706) 657-7857 to sign up.

Remember that letters to Santa can be dropped off at the library.

The staff and volunteers would like to wish all our patrons a Merry Christmas.
