Dade Sheriff's Office Presents Fifth Annual Citizens' Academy

The Dade County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting our 5th Annual Citizen’s Academy beginning on Tuesday February 20, 2018, and ending on May 1, 2018, in the Dade County Commission meeting room.

The Academy has been a huge success in the past. We’ve had many citizens in the class, and those who participated got a better knowledge of what officers go through while on duty.

As a student in the class, you will experience everything from what officers are taught in the Police Academy to how our Jail operates on a day-to-day basis. This is a very informative and exciting Academy. Please don’t miss the opportunity to experience it!

The classes will be every Tuesday from 6–9 p.m. This will be a 10-week Academy.

Applicants must

  • be 18 years of age

  • pass a background check

  • have a valid driver’s license.

A waiver will be signed to participate in the hands-on activities.

Applications need to be in the Dade County Sheriff’s Office no later than Tuesday February 6, 2018.

For more information call the Dade County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 657-3233.
