John Deffenbaugh, Dade County’s voice in the Georgia House of Representatives since winning his seat for the first time in 2012, has announced his candidacy for another term. Deffenbaugh, a resident of West Brow, will continue running as a Republican for the District 1 seat. District 1 includes all of Dade and a portion of Walker County.
Here is Deffenbaugh’s announcement:
This time of the year everyone has celebrated Christmas and the start of the New Year. We join together with family and friends to enjoy and encourage each other.
With the start of the New Year comes the start of Georgia’s General Assembly Session for 2018. This year, as in the past, there will be issues consuming my time such as veteran affairs, education, cybersecurity, marijuana, immigration, opioids as well as other important issues coming before the Assembly for consideration. Please contact me with your opinions or thoughts on these or other issues. It is my privilege and honor to serve District One. You have an open invitation to visit with me at your State Capitol.
I am announcing my candidacy for the election held November, 2018 for District One Georgia House of Representatives 2019-2020.
Representative John Deffenbaugh
