A train struck a passenger car in Trenton at the Church Street rail crossing a little after 4 p.m. today. The Planet thanks the anonymous tipster who furnished this great picture. The driver had already been taken away to be checked out medically, said the tipster, but apparently he was more shaken up than seriously injured.
From the tipster's report, the driver said the crossing arm was not lowered, but rail officials contend it was. The driver could not see the approaching train because of another train that was stopped on the tracks, said the tipster.
The tipster understood that only one person was in the car that was struck.
