The library will be closed for the Christmas holidays, Tuesday-Thursday, December 24-26. The library will be open on Monday, December 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is usually closed on Mondays but will be open on the 23rd for our patrons’ convenience. Check out some books to enjoy over the holidays.
Our Book Club met this week to select the books that we will be reading and discussing in 2020. Look for that list in this column in the coming weeks. Our book for January is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer. This book is historical fiction about a London writer who bonds with the colorful characters on the island of Guernsey as she learns about the book club they formed during the Nazi occupation.
Our Book Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month and we are glad to welcome new members.
Our Ready-to-Read class will be having its Christmas party on Thursday, December 19, which will also be our last program of 2019.
As always, we have some used books and magazines for sale. We have some real bargains, only $1 for a whole bag of books or magazines.
Merry Christmas from the Friends of the Library!
